Dutchess reorganizes behavioral & community health into three independent departments
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino announced today that the three major service areas under the Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) – Mental Health, Public Health, and Veterans Services – are on their way to becoming independent departments. The reorganization was formally approved last night during the Dutchess County Legislature’s August Board Meeting with bipartisan support.

These grants aim to provide a variety of sports opportunities to young people, ages 6-17, in under-resourced communities. The awarded programs focus on fostering educational connection and achievement, physical health and well-being, mental health and well-being, youth employment, and community cohesion.

Dutchess County awards over 20 nonprofits with youth development grants

Culvert replacement project scheduled for Milan Hill Road

Poughkeepsie—The Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) and the Dutchess County SPCA (DCSPCA) will host a free rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, July 20th. The event will take place at Poughkeepsie Town Hall, located at 1 Overocker Road, from 8 a.m. to noon. This clinic is open to dogs, cats, and domestic ferrets aged three months and older.
