Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York’s 17th district since 2023, has shared his views on recent developments via social media. Born in Suffern, New York, and a graduate of Manhattan College, Lawler continues to be vocal on various issues through his public statements.

On November 21, 2024, Congressman Lawler criticized the International Criminal Court's decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli leaders amid ongoing conflict. He stated that "By choosing to double down, rejecting Israel’s challenges and issuing arrest warrants for its leaders amid its ongoing war for survival, the International Criminal Court is continuing down the path to irrelevance and obscurity. We stand with Israel."

Later that day, at 16:29 UTC, he emphasized the importance of completing appropriations work before Congress adjourns. He tweeted "We must finish our appropriations work before Congress adjourns and have a clean slate heading into January."

In another post at 20:02 UTC on the same day, Lawler expressed gratitude towards his New York colleagues for opposing Governor Kathy Hochul's congestion pricing plan. He wrote "Thank you to my New York colleagues @RepDesposito, @RepMalliotakis, and @RepLaLota for joining me yesterday to speak out against @GovKathyHochul's outrageous plan to move forward with congestion pricing. The Governor should do her job instead of punishing New York residents."
