Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York's 17th district since 2023, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Lawler, who previously served in the New York State Assembly and holds a degree from Manhattan College, addressed topics ranging from congestion pricing to international relations and financial oversight.

On November 20, 2024, Congressman Mike Lawler criticized Governor Kathy Hochul's congestion pricing initiative. He referred to it as a "congestion pricing cash grab" in his tweet: "Stopping @GovKathyHochul's congestion pricing cash grab".

The following day, November 21, he shared his experience meeting with students from New York at an AIPAC student meeting. In his tweet at midnight UTC, he expressed pride in supporting Israel and addressing concerns about antisemitism: "It was a privilege to meet with students from New York yesterday at @AIPAC's student meeting. I appreciated their thoughtful questions – I am proud to stand with them in support of our closest ally, Israel, and share their concerns about rising antisemitism."

Later that day at 5:41 AM UTC, Lawler voiced his dissatisfaction with FDIC Chairman Gruenberg during a Financial Committee hearing. He highlighted leadership failures and anticipated significant changes come January: "At today's @FinancialCmte hearing, I raised concerns with Chairman Gruenberg over his failed leadership at the FDIC. He has failed on numerous fronts, and I am looking forward to a drastic change of direction in January."
