The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) has completed the replacement of a bridge on Ridge Road in the Town of Dover. The new structure is now open to traffic.

The project, which started in the spring, involved replacing the bridge over the Mill River near Cooperstown Road with a wider one that includes three-foot shoulders. Additionally, the surrounding roadway was slightly straightened to enhance safety for motorists. The work was finished on schedule and within budget.

This section of Ridge Road typically sees about 522 vehicles daily.

For further details, individuals can contact the Dutchess County Department of Public Works’ Engineering Division at (845) 486-2925.
