11.1 percent of Marist College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 11.1 percent of Marist College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Marist College has 5,670 undergraduate students, of which 58 percent are women and 42 percent are men, and a total student body of 6,624 students. Of these students, 428 men and 304 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Marist College with the most participants are all track combined (218), football (105) and rowing (82).
