25 percent of applicants to Vassar College were admitted for fall 2018

At Vassar College, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Poughkeepsie enrolled 2,456 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 0.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

22 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 65 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (56 percent) and Asian (12 percent).

The school admitted 25 percent of the 8,312 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 34 percent enrolled.
