Brewster Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
FIREWORKS CANCELLED
HamletHub has learned that this year’s Southeast Fireworks Extravaganza originally scheduled for August 22 in the Highlands Shopping Center parking lot (Kohl’s) on Route 312 has been canceled due to the concerns over safety from the Covid-19 pandemic.
This years Extravaganza was originalLY to be held on July 3rd in honor of Independence Day and pushed back to August 22nd in light of the Pandemic. The August 22nd date was to co-incide with the Brewster Fire Department’s 150th anniversary celebration and rebranded as a “Celebrate our First Responders Heroes” tribute. The BFD Birthday Celebration was cancelled back in May.
