On November 22, 2024, Congressman Lawler expressed concerns regarding the U.S. approach to Iran over the past four years. He stated: "Four years of weakness in confronting Iran's danger have emboldened them. We must hold the Iranian regime accountable."
The following day, November 23, 2024, he participated in a local event alongside Haverstraw Town Supervisor Howie Phillips. Reflecting on this experience, he tweeted: "I was proud to join Haverstraw Town Supervisor Howie Phillips and local leaders for the Town of Haverstraw's annual Thanksgiving dinner giveaway to our veterans. I'm humbled by the generosity of our community and honored to help give back to so many of our hometown heroes!"
Later that same day, Congressman Lawler commented on recent legislative developments affecting veterans' healthcare. He noted: "This week, the House passed the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act, a bipartisan bill which brought together several critical reforms to help our veterans.
