La Grange issued the following announcement on April 6.
Dear LaGrange Residents,
Our community, like the others around us, continues to cope with the Coronavirus epidemic facing us. I am in constant communication with our County Executive, Dutchess County health officials, and other state and county officials. The Town Hall is closed to the public at this time. Our offices can be reached via email and phone for any assistance you may need, but we are operating with a limited staff with many working from home. As a result, some things may take longer than usual and others may not be able to be done until state restrictions governing non-essential services are lifted. The town has suspended all meetings in the town hall at this time, but will be holding some public meetings remotely via teleconferencing. Details regarding specific meetings as well as instructions on how the public can attend/participate can be found on our town website. Most of our parks are open, although some activities are unavailable due to social distancing guidelines. Details can be found on the Parks and Recreation page on the town website.
We will continue to make every effort to update information as it changes. I ask that you all continue to remain calm, follow state and county guidelines for social distancing and limiting activities and, most importantly, take care of yourselves, your family, and those in special need. Also, if you can help out a local business that may still be operating, like takeout restaurants, please consider it as this is an economic crisis as well as a health crisis. If there is something you need during this time and are unsure where to go for help, reach out to us and we will do our best to assist in any way we can. I know we will persevere and get through this challenge together because taking care of each other is what LaGrange residents do.
