The Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services (DCFS) will host a public forum to discuss the County’s 2024-2029 Child and Family Services Plan. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. in the training room on the Department of Mental Health campus at 230 North Road in Poughkeepsie.

The forum aims to provide information about DCFS services and gather feedback from residents on how to improve these services. This input is considered essential for developing the upcoming Child and Family Services Plan.

Three specific service areas will be discussed during the forum:

- Child Protective Services: 5 to 5:30 p.m.

- Family and Children’s Services, including childcare eligibility, preventive service, foster care, youth services, and persons in need of supervision (PINS): 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

- Adult Services: 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

For those unable to attend in person, DCFS welcomes written comments. Comments can be submitted online at dutchessny.gov/dcfscomments, faxed to (845) 486-3090, or mailed to DCFS Forum Comments; 60 Market Street; Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
