Victor Zamaloff served in the United States Army and obtained the rank of E5 Specialist. He has spent his entire life in service to his country and his community.

Trained as a MOS 91A10 Combat Medic, he dedicated himself to assisting his fellow servicemen in the line of duty. Mr. Zamaloff grew up in the Bronx, attending both Hunter College and Bronx Community College before making his way to the Hudson Valley, where he received an Associate degree from Dutchess Community College.

Following his career in the Armed Forces, Mr. Zamaloff returned to Dutchess County, where he served as a volunteer and later as a career firefighter/EMT with the Arlington Fire District. This demonstrated his commitment to the Fire District and his community. Mr. Zamaloff was acknowledged and honored with the title of Division Chief later on in his career.

Mr. Zamaloff’s extensive knowledge and experience working in the Fire District qualified him to be a Fire Investigator with the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division. Always looking for ways to protect his community, Mr. Zamaloff ran a youth fire setters intervention program and volunteered his time with court officials and law enforcement to reform youth fire setters.

In addition to his efforts on behalf of his community, Mr. Zamaloff has continued to work tirelessly to help veterans in the local area. He served as a crisis counselor for NY Project Hope, a FEMA program.

Currently, Mr. Zamaloff works as a Program Specialist in both the Hero Program, Vet Tap Program, and Vet2Vet programs. All three organizations are dedicated to improving the lives of local veterans. His advocacy for veterans does not stop there; Mr. Zamaloff serves as the Veteran Representative on the Dutchess County Legislature and on the County Executive Veteran’s Affairs Advisory Board, helping advance the voices of Dutchess County veterans every day.

Mr. Zamaloff is described as "the embodiment of 'no man left behind,'" reflecting dedication to both civilian and veteran community members through volunteerism and professional experiences.
