Members of the DCC community gathered in the Pine Grove today in observance of Juneteenth. President Peter Grant Jordan led the celebration with personal reflections, followed by a candle-lighting ceremony with Student Resource Navigator Whitney Morris, Chair of Behavioral Sciences Michael Hall, Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer Marc Bowman, and Interim Director of the ACT Center Rachel Mead.
To close the ceremony, attendees joined Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards Adrianna Greco in singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
