Our Office for the Aging brought its Summer Picnic Series to Geering Park in Fishkill today, where seniors enjoyed great weather and live music as they enjoyed their free, nutritious lunch. In addition to being greeted by East Fishkill Councilman Anil Beephan, who represented County Executive Marc Molinaro, seniors had the chance to chat with Sheriff Kirk Imperati, County Clerk Brad Kendall, County Legislators Doug McHoul and Yvette Valdés Smith, Senator Sue Serino, as well as Fishkill Supervisor Ozzie Albra and members of the town board. Medical Reserve Corps of Dutchess County members provided valuable information to help attendees stay safe; Dutchess County STOP-DWI, the County's Traffic Safety Board and Sheriff's Office accepted attendees' unused medications for safe disposal; and personnel from various County departments and divisions informed attendees about the service they provide residents every day.
Next week's picnic takes place at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, and we look forward to another great day!
