Cost of college went up for all students at Columbia-Greene Community College

In-state tuition and fees rose 4.2 percent for 2018-19 at Columbia-Greene Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York residents paid $5,094 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $206 more than the $4,888 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 91.9 percent more than residents this year, or $9,774. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 3.7 percent from $9,424 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New York residents.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 160 students received grants or scholarships totaling $914,020 and 39 students took out student loans totaling more than $154,965.

Including all undergraduates (1,584), 663 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.1 million, and 288 students took out $1.6 million in federal student loans.
