Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino and Sheriff Kirk Imperati have launched a new targeted recruitment campaign, 'Stronger Support. Safer Work. Better Careers.' The initiative aims to encourage former New York State corrections employees to consider positions with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.

Alongside Serino and Imperati, Senator Rolison and other legislative members participated in the campaign's announcement. Senator Rolison expressed his support, stating, "As a former law enforcement officer, I understand firsthand the challenges faced by those who dedicate their lives to public safety. Dutchess County’s proactive approach to recruiting experienced corrections professionals is a testament to their commitment to both workforce development and community safety. By providing strong support, and meaningful career opportunities, this initiative ensures that those who have served with integrity can continue their mission in a safe and supportive environment. I commend County Executive Serino and Sheriff Imperati for their leadership in addressing this critical need."

The campaign's aim is to provide meaningful career opportunities for experienced corrections professionals while enhancing community safety through a more experienced workforce. Details about the initiative 'Stronger Support, Safer Work. Better Careers.' are available for those interested.
