Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York's 17th district, shared his views on recent legislative actions and economic issues through a series of tweets. Serving in Congress since 2023, Lawler has been vocal about international security and domestic economic concerns.

On March 21, 2025, Congressman Lawler addressed the issue of Iran's use of oil revenues. He stated, "Iran continues to use oil revenues to fund terrorism and destabilize the region. With the SHIP Act now law, the Trump Administration is taking the necessary actions to enforce the provisions of the bill."

In another tweet on the same day, he emphasized his commitment as Chair of the MENA Subcommittee to counteract Iran's activities. Lawler asserted, "As Chair of the MENA Subcommittee, I will always work to ensure Iran can no longer evade sanctions or fund its proxies. We must relentlessly impose pressure on the regime to protect U.S. national security and our allies."

Later that day, Congressman Lawler shifted focus to domestic issues concerning egg prices. He commented on regulatory practices affecting egg costs: "Egg prices are excessively high, and we’re all feeling the impact. I’m proud to join my colleagues in this bipartisan effort to crack down on the waste of millions of good eggs caused by overregulation. In a letter to the FDA, we urged a revision of the outdated 2009 Shell Egg."
