On December 9, 2024, Congressman Lawler addressed concerns regarding foreign influence in the financial sector. "CCP infiltration of our financial sector is real and is disturbing. We must take robust action to combat this threat. I'm going to keep working with my colleagues on the @FinancialCmte to do exactly that."
Later that day, he commented on Alvin Bragg's performance in office. "Alvin Bragg has let partisan politics seep into every aspect of his job and it has to stop. Do you believe he should be fired?
