Did Columbia County’s graduation rate rise or fall in 2021-22 school year?

Graduation rates in Columbia County schools rose 0.5% from the previous school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

There were 2,034 students who graduated in the 2021-22 school year, compared to 2,060 in the previous year.

Rockland, Niagara, Erie, and Columbia Counties had the state's 22nd highest graduation rate with 90.1% graduating, while Nassau boasted the highest rate, with 95.3% of students graduating in the 2021-22 school year.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is better than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
