The Poughkeepsie area is set to benefit from a $10 million grant awarded by New York State aimed at revitalizing its downtown. This initiative comes amidst ongoing growth in the region, although some changes have been slower than anticipated.

At a recent gathering, former mayor and current state senator Rob Rolison emphasized the significance of this investment. "I’ve seen firsthand the dedication it takes to build a stronger, more vibrant city...This investment will help transform our downtown into a thriving hub for businesses, residents and visitors alike," he stated. Rolison expressed pride in collaborating with Mayor Yvonne Flowers and other state and local partners to advance Poughkeepsie's development.
