Congressman Mike Lawler, currently representing New York’s 17th district in the U.S. Congress, shared his thoughts on recent events and initiatives through a series of tweets. Lawler has been serving since 2023, having replaced Mondaire Jones. He previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2021 to 2022.

On February 18, 2025, Congressman Lawler expressed his sorrow over the news regarding Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas. In his tweet, he stated: "As a father, the news of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas having been killed in Hamas captivity is absolutely devastating to hear. Hamas' barbarity truly knows no bounds."

Later that day, at 20:45 UTC, Lawler highlighted efforts to enhance the Weatherization Assistance Program for families in the Lower Hudson Valley. He tweeted: "The Weatherization Assistance Program has been vital for families and homeowners in the Lower Hudson Valley, and that's why I am expanding access, addressing health hazards, and making homes safer and more affordable."

At 21:31 UTC on the same day, Congressman Lawler expressed approval of an executive order signed by President Trump concerning IVF access. His tweet read: "I am very glad to see President Trump sign this Executive Order. Expanding IVF access is so important, and I’m committed to working in a bipartisan way with my Congressional colleagues to get it done."
