Congressman Mike Lawler, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 17th district since 2023, shared a series of tweets detailing his recent activities and opinions. Lawler's career includes previous service in the New York State Assembly from 2021 to 2022. The congressman was born in Suffern, New York, in 1986 and currently resides in Pearl River.

On February 15, 2025, Congressman Lawler tweeted about his engagement with students at Sleepy Hollow High School. He expressed appreciation for the interaction, stating: "I had a great time speaking with students at Sleepy Hollow High School this week! Appreciated the great questions and conversation."

Later that day, Lawler participated in a roundtable discussion with Ireland’s Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason and members of the Friends of Ireland Caucus. He emphasized the importance of U.S.-Ireland relations by tweeting: "I had a great roundtable with Ireland’s Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason and the Friends of Ireland Caucus, discussing U.S.-Ireland relations and how we can continue to strengthen our transatlantic ties!"

In another tweet on February 16, 2025, Lawler criticized congestion pricing implemented by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). He questioned its financial practices: "Congestion pricing is just another cash grab by the MTA – an agency that carries more debt than 80% of states. Instead of fleecing commuters, how about they fix their horrific mismanagement and finances first?"
