Congressman Mike Lawler discusses hospital support and reactions to national security measures

Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York's 17th district, shared his activities and opinions through a series of tweets. Lawler, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Mondaire Jones, discussed his recent engagements and expressed his stance on various issues.

On February 6, 2025, Congressman Lawler reported a meeting with Larry Levine, President & CEO of Blythedale Children’s Hospital. He stated, "This week, I had a productive meeting with Larry Levine, President & CEO of Blythedale Children’s Hospital. I am proud to support their mission and advocate for the resources they need to continue their incredible work."

The following day, February 7, 2025, Lawler commented on an executive order by President Trump concerning sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC). He remarked that "President Trump’s executive order today imposing sanctions on the ICC is welcome news. We will always stand with Israel "

Later that day, he addressed a surge in subway violence in New York City. On February 7, 2025, he noted the incidents saying "There was a disturbing surge in subway violence in NYC this week —at least five victims were stabbed, slashed, and brutally beaten. This is totally unacceptable."
