On February 4, 2025, Congressman Lawler announced that "United Airlines [is] resuming flights between New York and Tel Aviv on March 18, with Delta following them on April 1." He emphasized the importance of this development for his constituents who have faced challenges in traveling to visit family cost-effectively.
Later that day, Lawler addressed concerns regarding the Castle Point VA Medical Center. He stated unequivocally that "The Castle Point VA Medical Center should not shut down any of its medical care, full stop." Highlighting the sacrifices made by veterans, he stressed the necessity of ensuring they receive appropriate care. Lawler mentioned collaboration with Congressman Pat Ryan and Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino in these efforts.
On February 5, 2025, Congressman Lawler turned his attention to antisemitism on college campuses. He welcomed investigations by the Department of Education into schools where such issues persist. In his words: "Antisemitism has no place anywhere, especially on college campuses." He affirmed that every student deserves a safe environment.
