Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York's 17th district, has been vocal on several issues via his social media posts. His recent tweets address matters ranging from airline services to Israel, firefighter safety legislation, and tax policy.

On January 24, 2025, Congressman Lawler expressed concern over the lack of airline services to Israel. He noted that many U.S. airlines have not resumed flights despite a ceasefire being in place. "Many US airlines have not provided service to Israel for over a year, leaving my constituents without travel options. With a ceasefire in place, it’s time for them to resume flights. British Airways and Delta have stepped up – now it’s time for other US airlines to follow suit."

Later that day, he highlighted his legislative efforts during Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month by collaborating with Representative Strickland on a bill aimed at protecting military firefighters from toxic PFAS exposure. "During Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month, I'm proud to partner with Rep. Strickland (WA-10) on a bill that protects military firefighters exposed to toxic PFAS in the line of service to our country."

On January 25, 2025, Lawler addressed concerns about tax policy changes related to the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction cap. He warned against potential tax increases if no new tax legislation is passed and called for bipartisan cooperation on tax reform beneficial for all Americans. "If no tax bill is passed, SALT will come back unlimited - but it would also be the biggest tax increase in American history. We need to stop playing the Who-is-subsidizing-Who game and work on a tax bill that works for all Americans."
