Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino has announced the successful launch of the Think Accessible Stakeholder & Community Group. This group recently held its first roundtable meeting aimed at enhancing accessibility and inclusivity for individuals of all abilities in Dutchess County.

The meeting gathered a variety of stakeholders, including leaders from local businesses, tourism sectors, advocates, municipal leaders, and community members. The participants shared ideas and identified opportunities to improve accessibility across the county. They engaged in discussions about challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and brainstormed solutions to enhance accessibility in public spaces, businesses, and community programs.

The stakeholder group plans to meet regularly to develop initiatives and provide feedback as the Think Accessible program progresses. The focus will be on fostering collaboration and building a culture of inclusion and accessibility throughout the county.

The Think Accessible initiative aims to create an ongoing dialogue about best practices, community needs, and opportunities for collaboration. This ensures that Dutchess County remains welcoming for everyone. The initiative was initially announced during County Executive Sue Serino’s State of the County address in March.

For more information on how to get involved with Think Accessible, contact the County Executive’s Office at 845-486-2000 or email CountyExec@dutchessny.gov.
