How many students were enrolled in Columbia County Kinderhook Central School District in 2022-23 school year?

Kinderhook Central School District had the highest enrollment among Columbia County school districts, welcoming 1,696 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.1% of them were girls, and 49.9% were boys.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 80.2% of Kinderhook Central School District's total enrollment.

Among the six districts in Columbia County, Hudson City School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,564 students, while Taconic Hills Central School District welcomed 1,064 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Kinderhook Central School District roughly covers schools within Columbia County and has a main office in Valatie.

In the previous school year, Kinderhook Central School District also had the highest number of students among Columbia County districts.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
