Of the 3,943 people living in Putnam Lake in 2020, 47.9 percent (1,888) were women and 52.1 percent (2,055) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Hudson Valley News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 243. In the 65 and over age range, there were 332 females and 287 males.
