Congressman Mike Lawler, who represents New York's 17th district, shared his thoughts on several pertinent issues through his social media platform. The post was crafted against the backdrop of his rooted political career, spanning from his tenure in the New York State Assembly to his current congressional role.

On April 4, 2025, Lawler highlighted the state of private sector job growth with an optimistic view. He noted, "Private sector job growth was strong in March — with 228,000 jobs added, crushing market expectations. Full-time and private sector jobs should continue to grow as more companies increase their investments here in the United States!"

Later the same day, Lawler emphasized his support for legislation aimed at widening opportunities for families in New York and across the nation. He encouraged support for young athletes, remarking, "This bill helps families in NY and nationwide give their kids a shot at the same opportunities. Let’s enjoy the season and support our young athletes — the next MLB stars might be stepping up to the plate right now. Go Yankees!"

In another update from April 4, Lawler expressed his gratitude for attending local commemorative events. He stated, "It was an honor to attend the VFW Vietnam War ceremonies in Putnam and Mahopac last weekend. We paid tribute to the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten."
