The return date for your 2nd dose will be 12/1/22, at the same time and place.

Those eligible for the JYNNEOS Monkeypox Vaccine include those who are at risk of FUTURE exposure, even though you are not at high risk of recent exposure. JYNNEOS is a two-dose series, which are given 35 days apart. You will be deemed fully vaccinated two weeks after your second dose.

Symptoms of monkeypox include rashes, bumps or blisters along with fever and headaches, muscle aches, and swollen lymph nodes. Symptoms typically start 1-2 weeks after exposure to the virus. If you are not feeling well, you should get evaluated to see if you have the virus. You should wait until you are feeling well to get the vaccine if you do not have monkeypox.

POST-VACCINATION GUIDANCE:

-You should avoid close contact, including intimate contact with others- this includes avoiding kissing, hugging, cuddling, and having sex with someone who could have monkeypox. Wash hands regularly.

-Avoid sharing bedding, towels, clothes, utensils or cups- especially with someone who may be infected.

-If you are feeling sick, have new, unexplained rash or sores and could have been exposed- stay home and call your healthcare provider. Until evaluated, isolate at home.
