On Friday, March 6, Emily Grasseler, a former Millbrook High School standout, played with the Merchant Marine Mariners as they were defeated 71-57 by the Bates Bobcats in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, held at Alumni Gymnasium and tipping off at 7:15 p.m., marked the first tournament meeting between the Mariners and the Bobcats.
