On April 23, 2025, Lawler shared about presenting a certificate of appreciation to Donna Massaro, owner of The Freight House Cafe in Mahopac. Lawler remarked, “My team and I were honored to present Donna Massaro, the owner of The Freight House Cafe in Mahopac, with a certificate of appreciation for her 15 years of service to the community. The Freight House Cafe was a cornerstone in the community of Mahopac and will be remembered as such.”
Later that day, Lawler recounted his visit to his alma mater, Manhattan University, for a Q&A session with students. Reflecting on the event, he said, “I had the opportunity yesterday to visit Manhattan University for a student Q&A. I enjoyed visiting the campus and answering all your great questions. Thank you @ManhattanEdu for the opportunity!”, reflecting on his educational background as a 2009 graduate with a BS from the college.
In another tweet, Lawler endorsed the @RegionalPlan Gateway Program as an influential project for New York and beyond. He stated, “The @RegionalPlan Gateway Program is a game-changer for New York, the Northeast Corridor, and our national economy. Our commuters and workers deserve it.” Lawler, who was born in Suffern, New York, and currently resides in Pearl River, acknowledged the program’s potential benefits for regional infrastructure and economic vitality.
