Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York’s 17th district, has been actively engaging with his constituents and the broader public through various social media posts. In a series of tweets, he addresses issues ranging from mental health awareness to international relations and local community events.

On June 2, 2025, Congressman Lawler highlighted the importance of recognizing and supporting individuals living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He stated, “This month, we honor the strength of those living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and work to break the stigma surrounding mental health. PTSD can affect anyone—veterans, survivors of trauma, first responders, and many others. Raising awareness means encouraging conversations.”

Later that day, Lawler commented on Ukraine’s military strategy in response to Russian aggression. He tweeted on June 2, 2025: “Ukraine’s Operation Spider’s Web was a strategic act of self-defense. Disabling Russia’s long-range strike capability is a step in protecting Ukrainian lives. The United States must stand united with Ukraine against the aggression of a dictator and thug who threatens peace.”

On June 3, 2025, Congressman Lawler shared his experience at a local event in Carmel. He wrote: “Last week in Carmel was a beautiful day for the Greater Mahopac and Carmel Chamber of Commerce Annual Spring Street Fair. My team had a great time talking with constituents and enjoying the fair.”

Congressman Mike Lawler has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Mondaire Jones. Prior to this role, he was part of the New York State Assembly from 2021 to 2022. Born in Suffern, New York in 1986, Lawler now resides in Pearl River.
