On January 8, 2026, Slater posted about returning to Albany for the new legislative session. He stated, “Yesterday, I was in the state Capitol, kicking off this year’s legislative session in Albany – the time of year where lawmakers are debating and voting on policies that affect everyday life for all New Yorkers. The following day, January 9, 2026, Slater highlighted his work since being elected in 2022.
