Dia Art Foundation has announced its exhibition schedule for 2026, with programming set across its three locations: Dia Beacon, Dia Bridgehampton, and Dia Chelsea. The upcoming year will feature a series of single-artist presentations, including exhibitions by Frédéric Bruly Bouabré, John Chamberlain, Walter De Maria, Lee Ufan, Agnes Martin, Howardena Pindell, Bridget Riley, Richard Tuttle, Lee Ufan (listed twice in the announcement), and Haegue Yang at Dia Beacon. Alan Ruiz will have an exhibition at Dia Bridgehampton. At Dia Chelsea, David Lamelas and Éliane Radigue will present their work.

Jessica Morgan, director of the foundation, described the program as the organization’s most ambitious to date. “Our 2026 exhibition schedule is our most ambitious to date. With 12 presentations opening across our three exhibition spaces, audiences will continually find something new to discover as they visit during the changing seasons. I am thrilled that works by artists such as Walter De Maria and Agnes Martin are returning once again to our galleries, while we also welcome many artists who are exhibiting with Dia for the first time. Our schedule this year also reflects several exceptional gifts to our permanent collection from both artists and supporters. When an artist’s work enters our collection, it marks the start of a deep, longstanding relationship, and I am thrilled to be able to bring these long-term exhibitions to the public to demonstrate this commitment,” said Morgan.

The 2026 schedule includes nine exhibitions at Dia Beacon. Notably in April 2026, paintings by Agnes Martin return following conservation efforts. In May 2026 an exhibition dedicated to Lee Ufan opens after a gift of eight paintings from the artist entered Dia’s collection. John Chamberlain’s sculptures will be on display beginning in June; Bridget Riley’s early monochrome paintings open in July alongside recent works from Richard Tuttle later that month.

In October 2026 at Dia Beacon’s central galleries there will be a reinstallation of Walter De Maria’s “360˚ I Ching / 64 Sculptures,” last shown six years prior at the same location. Haegue Yang presents newly commissioned work spanning two levels of the museum beginning later that month. November brings an exhibition of Frédéric Bruly Bouabré’s “Connaissance du Monde (Knowledge of the World)” series before Howardena Pindell closes out the year with large-scale paintings exhibited in December.

At Dia Chelsea, David Lamelas’ project “The Machine” consists of a performance (scheduled for February), an exhibition opening March 6 covering key moments from his career since 1965 through various media including film programs running until January 16th of the following year.

Also at Dia Chelsea, Éliane Radigue’s “States of Listening” runs December through February and features restaged sound installations from her early career along with live performances.

At Dia Bridgehampton, Alan Ruiz debuts new site-responsive work in June following his residency in Dia’s archives; his project engages with both architectural history—reflecting on previous uses as a fire station and church—and local socioeconomic contexts.

The foundation was established in 1974 with a mission focused on supporting ambitious projects by individual artists outside traditional gallery constraints. In addition to its main sites—Dia Beacon located north of New York City; Dia Bridgehampton on Long Island; and Dia Chelsea in Manhattan—the organization maintains several long-term commissions nationally and internationally such as Walter De Maria’s The Lightning Field in New Mexico and Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty in Utah.
