Congressman Mike Lawler, a representative of New York’s 17th district, shared updates via social media on various topics pertinent to his constituents. Lawler, who took office in 2023 after replacing Mondaire Jones, highlighted activities and achievements connected to his office and the community.
On April 24, 2025, Congressman Lawler reached out to his constituents regarding the REAL ID program facilitated by the New York DMV. He encouraged individuals to participate by stating, “Have you gotten your REAL ID through the New York DMV? Take my survey and let me know!”
The following day, April 25, 2025, Lawler celebrated a significant accomplishment by his team in assisting community members. He proclaimed, “I am proud to announce that Team Lawler has closed over 6,000 cases and has returned $27.2 million to the residents of the Hudson Valley!” He expressed confidence in continuing these efforts.
Later on April 25, 2025, Lawler mentioned his team’s participation in a local event, specifically the grand opening of a facility. “Earlier this week my team attended the grand opening of New York Blood Center’s Rye campus. New York Blood Center is the single largest donor center, known for its research into diseases such as sickle cell disease, among others,” he stated, emphasizing the center’s research contributions.
Currently aged 36, Congressman Lawler was born in Suffern, New York, and now resides in Pearl River. Since obtaining his BS from Manhattan College in 2009, he has served both in the New York State Assembly and the U.S. Congress.
