Congressman Mike Lawler, currently serving New York’s 17th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his participation in several community events via social media. Representing his constituents since 2023, Lawler has been actively engaging with local communities through various initiatives and ceremonies.

On May 18, 2025, Congressman Lawler expressed his honor in joining the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department along with other departments to pay tribute to officers who have fallen in the line of duty. He emphasized the importance of remembering these individuals by stating “Their names live on. We will never forget.”

The following day, May 19, he attended the Tappan Fire Department’s Field of Honor opening ceremony. This annual event involves over 300 flags being displayed until July 12th, each flag representing a story that honors fallen heroes.
