U.S. Congressman Mike Lawler, representing New York’s 17th district, shared a series of statements on his recent activities and views via social media. Lawler, who has been active in public service since 2021, continues to engage with his community and discuss international concerns.

On April 7, 2025, Lawler’s team attended the PNW BOCES Career & Tech Education Info Event. During the event, they expressed gratitude towards local unions and partners supporting student career development. Lawler stated, “Programs like these help prepare the next generation for good-paying careers — and we’ll always back them.”

Later that day, Lawler commented on the ongoing plight of families awaiting loved ones held by Hamas for 18 months. He highlighted the efforts of Israeli artist Zeev Engelmayer, who draws daily postcards to maintain global awareness of the situation. Lawler emphasized, “Today, I’m praying for the five Americans still in captivity.”

On April 8, 2025, Lawler expressed his appreciation for first responders. During the Valhalla Volunteer Ambulance Corps annual meeting, his staff took part in the installation of officers and board members. Lawler remarked, “Thank you to these dedicated first responders for all you do to keep our community safe!”
