Congressman Mike Lawler, representative of New York’s 17th district and a congressional member since 2023, recently shared several notable updates through his social media platform. Lawler, aged 36, originally from Suffern and a graduate of Manhattan College, took to Twitter to communicate these developments.

On April 24, 2025, Congressman Lawler celebrated the 25th business anniversary of Elite Dental Studio and Dr. Ash Khorram in Yorktown, acknowledging their longstanding service to the community. His team participated in the event honoring the achievements of the dental practice.

Later that day, Lawler addressed the issue of antisemitism in schools and society. He mentioned the introduction of “AAA,” a bipartisan initiative aimed at codifying an executive order, allowing federal civil rights protections to be enforced. The tweet reinforced his stance against antisemitism and commitment to protecting individual rights.

In the evening, Lawler highlighted his participation in the Champions for Children Breakfast in Putnam County. At the event, Frank Guglieri, the Regional Safety Coordinator for Putnam and Northern Westchester BOCES, was recognized as the Champion for Children honoree, praised for his contributions to school safety, a cause Lawler supports.

Lawler succeeded Mondaire Jones to represent New York’s 17th district in 2023 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2021 to 2022. He provides representation rooted in public service and advocacy in the state of New York.
